Among the notable events of the State of Play on May 31, 2024, there was the announcement of the PC version of God of War Ragnarok, which is part of Sony’s new policy regarding the gaming tower market. Like the first episode of 2018, the new adventures of Kratos and Atreus will arrive on September 19 with a whole bunch of new features and all the complete content. In other words, it will be possible to enjoy a true native 4K display, knowing that the game will obviously be compatible with ultra wide screens and 21:9 and 32:9 formats. We will also be able to take advantage of the support for Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) of NVIDIA RTX, AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) and Intel XeSS (Xe Super Sampling), which should further improve the visual rendering of what PC users already call the Superior Version . Moreover, the DLC which offers Roguelite mode will obviously be available in this version.
Sony immediately specifies that it will be necessary to have a PlayStation account to be able to play it on PC, something which has already been implemented with Helldivers 2 and Ghost of Tsushima, causing a huge outcry, and preventing more than 170 countries from to no longer be able to access the game. But at least this time, it’s announced from the start.
