Family is the main theme of the Fast & Furious series. In Fast & Furious 10, the community around Dom (Vin Diesel) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) threatened like never before as the latest trailer for the action spectacle shows again. The background music, most recently used to great effect in The Last of Us and the sci-fi masterpiece Arrival, reinforces this impression immensely.

“Maybe we won’t survive this“: This is how fatalistic Rodriguez’ Letty expresses himself in the new trailer about the chances of surviving in the fight against the Fast & Furious 10 villain Dante (Jason Momoa), who wants to take bloody revenge on Dom (Diesel) and his family. Max Richter’s famous play On the Nature of Daylight, along with Dinah Washington’s lyrics from the song This Bitter Earth, lend weight to her concern in the trailer.
Many Fast 10 franchise predecessors toyed with the loss of a key member of the racing car crew. The end of the series is already planned, tragedy could indeed strike this time. However, even Michelle Rodriguez’s character Letty has come back from the dead before.
When is Fast & Furious 10 in cinemas?
Action fans will probably only get the final certainty from the cinema release. Fast & Furious 10 will be released on May 17, 2023 in the cinema. It was directed by Louis Leterrier (The Transporter) after original director Justin Lin left the post.
