Bringing clarity to the case of the ghost rocket has become something of the association UFO Sweden’s holy grail. The incident has, among other things, been depicted in SVT’s documentary Spökraketerna.
The two expeditions made so far, in 2012 and 2014, have not solved the mystery. The association has determined that some large object is in any case at the bottom of the lake.
– Is it an unknown object, a large stone or some reindeer lying there?, says Clas Svahn, chairman of UFO Sweden.
“New instrument in progress”
Now the association is planning new expeditions and hopes to be able to go up to Norrbotten next year.
– It would be great to get a good picture with a new instrument we are working on, where you can see this in three dimensions. Then we might be able to see what the object looks like, says Clas Svahn.
