What weapon is it about? This is the new Exo Scout rifle “Vicious Tool” which you can get hold of with Season 21. This weapon, which looks like a building was stolen from Savathun Throneworld, is a special rifle tied to a lengthy quest.
In order to get hold of the rifle, you’ll need to visit Hive statues and have a lot of luck fishing, because while the weapon is a guaranteed drop, the required fish are unfortunately not. A deterrent criterion for many, but I tell you, the rifle could be worthwhile, especially in PvP.

That’s why the weapon is special: The rifle has the intrinsic perk Creeping Attrition. This causes your opponents to be slowed down and eventually frozen if you land constant precision hits.
This can be a useful thing in PvE, but with the Riptide fusion rifle you don’t need an extra cooling rifle against all sorts of aliens.
In terms of PvP, however, the rifle could emerge as a new insider tip. Two shots to the head and the third slows down your opponent.
Best for those opponents who like to flee when they see they’re losing. However, this can also be an advantage in matches such as Control or Iron Banner, when you are storming the zones with your squad and your opponents are trying to flee.
The rifle can also be combined with Bakris’ mask. This allows you as a hunter to achieve higher stasis damage after an evasive maneuver.
