New event in Diablo 4 brings 100 % bonus XP and Cosmetics

Diablo 4 has a new event. There are plenty of bonuses in the “Lunar Awakening” that you should urgently take advantage of.

Season 7 was released on January 21, 2025 and exactly two weeks later the first event is in the hellish monster hunt – the Lunare awakened. Based on the typical “Chinese New Year’s events”, you get thick bonuses during the event and can earn some new rewards.

What kind of event is that? During the “Lunar awakening” you collect a new currency, the “favor of the ancestors”. You can exchange this in the north of Ked Bardu with the head of the Lunaren Nachtmarkt Ying-Yue for different rewards.

On top of that, the shrines throughout Sanktuario are exchanged for luna shrines during the event. You can already see them from afar, because the shrines have a new look – in the form of a kite. Activating the shrines and subsequent killing of monsters brings you the favor of the ancestors over time, which you can then output for cosmetic rewards in the NPC Ying Yue.

What do the new shrines bring? If you activate the temporary luna shrines, you will not only get a special reverberation, but also a random, further bonus as usual. The bonuses include:

  • Artillery clean: skills have a chance to summon a holy bomb.
  • Shrine of the pressure wave: Each explosion calls for a screeching bombing.
  • Channeling shrine: The speed of attack is increased and you have an increased chance to reset down times.
  • Shrine of the connection: The character regularly flinish mighty, shocking hits on enemies nearby.
  • Grin of greed: There is an opportunity to summon a treasure goblin. As long as the shrine is active, a treasure goblin is conjured up in the opponents killed.
  • Deadly shrine: There is an opportunity to do the monster met immediately and to put enemies nearby in fear. This also affects elite opponents, but not bosses or other players.
  • Shrine of protection: You reflect all of the damage suffered. The reflected damage scales with level and difficulty.

    • How do you get the bonus-XP? In addition to the above-mentioned effects, active shrines provide an XP bonus of 100 % (cumulative). You just have to interact with a shrine as soon as you see him. With one click, all bonuses are active for the period of 2 minutes.

    When does the event take place? The lunare awakening begins on February 4, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. and lasts until February 18, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. Until then, all players can benefit from the shrines on seasonal and eternal realms and get the various rewards for the favor of the ancestors.

    Apart from the bonuses and rewards mentioned, there are of course also suitable offers in the shop during the event, if you want to dress your character a little more in the style of the lunar awakening.
