A new era begins on YouTube. The platform is testing a new mobile app feature that will allow its premium subscribers to zoom in on any video. This experimental feature lets you zoom in for videos. The feature is called “Pinch to zoom.”
“PIN TO ZOOM” FEATURE FROM YOUTUBE
The “pinch to zoom” feature, which works in both portrait and full-screen landscape view and is an experimental feature for YouTube Premium subscribers, allows viewers to zoom in on a video. For the way Youtube uses the feature, “pinch the video player with two fingers to zoom in and out.” says.
This feature will be available until September 1st. However, it is said that it may become a permanent part of YouTube Premium in the future.
HOW TO TURN ON THE Pinch TO ZOOM FEATURE ON YOUTUBE?
If you are a premium subscriber, here’s what you need to do to activate the feature:
- Open YouTube’s settings menu from your phone or website.
- As long as you subscribe to YouTube Premium, there should be a “try new features” section. Click on this section.
- Find “pinch to zoom”, the only feature currently available for testing, and click “try”.
- You should now be able to zoom.
