New drivers license rules are coming valid throughout the

News24 has previously reported that the EU will introduce new driver’s license rules that will apply in all member states. Then it was a joint executive of driving associations. But now Danish dr reported that the EU agreed on more driver’s license rules for all member states.

The new rules that will start to apply within a couple of years are intended to facilitate people by making it more digitally, flexible and less bureaucratic.

In the future, you will not have to bring the physical driver’s license, but it will work with a digital driver’s license. According to the EU, the new joint driver’s license is on the road as an app and becomes available on smartphones.

All member states will have five years to implement the new digital driver’s license. But everyone will still have the opportunity to have a physical driver’s license with them.

It will, like Sweden, be standard with a two -year probationary period for those who have taken a new driver’s license. At the same time, the EU is now calling on its member states to introduce total zero tolerance against alcohol and drugs in traffic, and stricter rules to prevent drivers from driving without a seat belt.

Since there is a shortage of truck drivers in Europe, the age to take a truck card will also be lowered from 21 years to 18 years. Some countries will even take truck driving licenses at the age of 17, if they have an older driver at their side. However, something that will only happen within their countries.
