A new mount in World of Warcraft is live – and pretty fancy. Some of you might just get it.
Every few months there is a new mount in the in-game shop in World of Warcraft. While this practice still meets with incomprehension among some fans even after years, there are also supporters who are happy about more mounts and purchaseable options.
The newest of these mounts, the Auspicious Tree Wyrm, also falls into this category. And many of you should get it for free.
What kind of mount is this? With the “Promising Tree Wyrm” the name says it all. Because this kite, which is unlocked for dynamic flying (“dragon riding”), looks more like a living tree than a typical kite. Instead of being scaly, the entire body is covered in bark and leaves. The horns consist of branches with small treetops – visually suitable for the emerald green dream.
How do you get the mount? To receive the Auspicious Tree Wyrm, you must have an active subscription to World of Warcraft – either the 6 or 12 month version. If this is the case, the mount will be credited to you free of charge. You can then use it to fly around the Dragon Islands. With the next patch (10.2.5) the mount will also be able to be used in most old areas.
Alternatively, you can simply buy the “Auspicious Tree Wyrm” in the in-game shop for real money. Then it costs a whopping €25 – so it’s just as expensive as many other mounts. Particularly rich heroes can of course also take the detour via the WoW tokens in order to exchange gold for Battle.net currency and thus receive the mount.
What do I do if the mount isn’t there yet? If you’ve already subscribed for 6 or 12 months and the dragon isn’t in your collection yet, just wait a little. These mounts are often unlocked in waves. If you meet the requirements and don’t have the tree wyrm yet, be patient – the mount should usually be activated automatically within the next few days.
