The titles that no anime fan should miss this fall include the brand new action adventure Dragon Ball Daima and the second season of the formidable football series Blue Lock.
Dragon Ball Daima: The new chapter of the Shonen classic
In what is now the sixth Dragon Ball series, Son Goku and his friends are transformed back into children – or at least into small versions of the heroes who now look like children. For early retro fans, the character design will be reminiscent of the original series from the 80s. Nevertheless, Goku, Vegeta and Co. want to undo the rotten spell and set off together into a strange world. Did someone summon the wish dragon Shenlong with the Dragon Balls and wish them small?
Unlike previous formats, Dragon Ball Daima is not based on a manga. The mangaka Akira Toriyama, who died this year, was still involved in the development of the series until his death.

Blue Lock: Kick-off for the second season of the sports anime
From kite to football. Blue Lock is based on the manga of the same name by Muneyuki Kaneshiro. It tells of a merciless training program World-class Japanese football players to produce. Protagonist Yoichi Isagi has come a long way in Season 1 and has made it to the next level of the Blue Lock program. Now, however, mastermind Jinpachi Ego’s methods are being questioned and are being put to the test. Shortly afterwards, the future of Japanese football will be at stake in an all-important match against U20 Japan.
