New so-called dog buns have been found in Malmö on Monday. This is the first finding since January, Sydsvenskan reports. Buns or sausages with sharp objects in them caused fear among dog owners in Malmö last winter. From November 2020 to February 2023, 160 cases were reported to the police, including a Labrador who ingested 61 nails. Since then it has been quiet. Until now. On Monday morning, new buns were found in the early dawn, Sydsvenskan reports. The initial alarm came in the large dog group on Facebook. This time in the Håkanstorp district, near a couple of dog resting farms. The bun is exactly like those previously found. About three centimeters in diameter and soft in texture. As a minimal breakfast bun, the newspaper writes. In the center of the bun is a centimeter-sized, sharp metal star. The attempts to harm dogs in Malmö have been going on for two years and there have been around 160 police reports of destruction – a classification used when someone intentionally spreads poison, contagion or other things that risk harming plants and animals.
