On Monday, the police carried out new dives in Vetlanda, as part of the investigation into the suspected murder of a 21-year-old woman.

With the help of the maritime police from Stockholm, divers were on site in Kvarndammen, reports Vetlanda-Posten.

– We look for things that may be of interest and nothing else. We are a bit low on what we are dealing with considering where we are in the preliminary investigation, says Rickard Finndahl, head of the police department for serious crimes in the Highlands, to the newspaper.

– Things come up every now and then and it doesn’t have to mean that something sensational has happened. But we are resuming the investigation, you can miss things.

The 21-year-old woman disappeared after a night out on October 15 and was found dead on November 2 in a forest area outside Vetlanda.

Two women of the same age are in custody for kidnapping, but have also been served with suspicions of murder and grave breach.
