New dietary advice: Small children can eat vegan

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Even smaller children can eat vegan food, according to new dietary advice from Kost & Näring, a trade association within the Leaders for municipal diet and meal managers.

According to the association, there are now enough good nutritional supplements to counteract a lack of vitamin B12, which is mainly found in animal products.

However, it is pointed out that vegan may not suit everyone, e.g. children who have insufficient growth.

At the same time, the limit for how much lactose can be included in special diets for the intolerant is raised from two to three grams.
