New Diablo 4 video accidentally reveals secret details about Vessel of Hatred

Blizzard is currently releasing more and more information about Spiritborn and thus about Vessel of Hatred, the first expansion of Diablo 4. Savvy players have already found details in the gameplay shown that indicate some revisions. However, you should view these clues with caution.

These are the new details:

Where do the clues come from? Blizzard recently released a new video about Spiritborn, explaining the spirits that give the Spiritborn their power. Among other things, you can see:

  • a character at level 60 who no longer has subdivisions in the level bar, as is currently the case for Paragon Points
  • a small number below the level, which probably stands for Paragon points
  • Blizzard has already talked about new Paragon boards and legendary glyphs for all classes, so an overhaul sounds more and more likely. But we can’t say yet what it will look like.

Blizzard has already shown some pictures of new weapons. The experts at wowhead are certain that the overall damage will be significantly lower. The weapon is much weaker than the current Diablo 4.

This is exactly what we noticed when testing the class. The Spiritborn’s damage was roughly 19 to 50 per attack (without crits). When we asked the developers, however, they said that this was probably just due to the test build that we were allowed to play.

All of the information is unconfirmed, so you should view it with a certain amount of skepticism.

“Squish, squish, squish! No endless paragon”

On Reddit, users are already discussing the clues they found. The damage squish is particularly popular there. The absurd numbers that are currently coming from barbarians in particular are simply too big and confusing for many players.

The references to the endless Paragon, on the other hand, are received with mixed to negative feedback. It is good to have something that you can grind after you reach the max level. But an item box or gold for each level-up is enough for that, the main thing is that there is something.

An endless Paragon grind with constantly growing power makes things like the leaderboards completely pointless because there is no longer any relative equality among the players. However, the current boards are a much better system than they were in Diablo 3.

Vessel of Hatred starts on October 8th and by then you will surely receive more and more information about the expansion. At gamescom 2024 you can even play the Spiritborn for the first time. Before that, however, Season 5 will come with some changes. Here you can find all the information about the start, theme and PTR of Season 5.
