New development in Activision Blizzard harassment and discrimination lawsuit

Activision Blizzard’s harassment and discrimination investigation process continues, and the firm claimed that no evidence was found in its internal investigation.

There has been a new development in the Activision Blizzard harassment and discrimination lawsuit. About a year ago, with an article published in Bloomberg on a July night, Activision-Blizzard, behind the World of Warcraft and Call of Duty brands, came to the fore with allegations that there was severe sexual harassment and discrimination within the company. A group led by a manager who has been working in the company for 25 years stated that as a result of the investigations, there was no “systematic harassment, sexual discrimination or retaliation”.

After the investigation, the delegation that carried out the investigation released the following statement:

“Contrary to the allegations, as a result of the investigations carried out by the Board of Directors in the presence of impartial consultants, there was no evidence that Activision-Blizzard chief executives deliberately turned a blind eye to reported and alleged sexual discrimination and harassment.”

The description continues as follows:
“While there are proven instances of sexist harassment within the firm, these do not mean that Activision-Blizzard management was aware of and condoned these incidents or that there were instances of systematic harassment, discrimination or retaliation within the firm.”

Activision-Blizzard agreed to pay $18 million in compensation a few months ago, and most of the allegations in the aforementioned investigation were concluded.
