According to the remand request from Chamber prosecutor Hedvig Lundblad, in addition to the attempted murder, the man is also on probable grounds suspected of four cases of serious threat to an official and one case of serious unlawful threat.
The detention hearing will be held at Blekinge district court on Friday afternoon.
The police opened fire
It was during the night of Good Friday that the man armed with an ax and chainsaw tried to break into a neighbor’s house in the small community in eastern Blekinge. When the police arrived at the scene, the 35-year-old allegedly refused to let go of his attachments and the police then decided to open fire.
