Sweden will receive seven million doses of the new vaccine as early as September 1 or earlier, TV4 News learns. The vaccine is an mRNA vaccine that protects against both the original virus variant and all omicron variants now circulating. It is also more effective against infection.
The new vaccines are developed by Pfizer Biontech and Moderna, and will replace the previous versions.
– If you are offered to be vaccinated with it, you should definitely do it, but I emphasize that regardless of which vaccine it is, you should take it, says vaccine researcher Matti Sällberg.
