A total of 6,000 new-build homes were built in the province of Utrecht in 2023. That is about 700 fewer than the year before. And yet, due to the housing shortage, a lot needs to be built, including in our province. In many municipalities this does not seem to have been successful last year. The housing stock barely increased in Montfoort, Lopik, Wijk bij Duurstede, Leusden, Zeist and Stichtse Vecht.
