The upcoming shooter Outpost: Infinity Siege on Steam combines base building and tower defense. The trailer presents impressive heavy artillery and mechs with which you can face the attacks of hordes of enemies alone or in co-op.
What kind of game is this? Outpost: Infinity Siege is a base-building, co-op, first-person shooter developed by Team Ranger and published by Lightning Games. Players fight against hordes of enemies who specifically attack the mobile outpost, which obviously gives the game its name.
To counter this threat, you build massive bases using heavy artillery and a selection of firearms. The trailer also shows the use of mechs in which players fight against opponents.
In the trailer you get an impression of the gameplay of Outpost: Infinity Siege, including outpost construction and fighting with heavy weapons:
Outpost: Infinity Siege combines elements of tower defense, first-person shooter and real-time strategy, with an obvious focus on defeating enemies rushing towards your base from all directions.
The unique “Protoslag Gun” plays a central role in the game when it comes to breaking through the restricted area, collecting unique weapon units and increasing the firepower of your outpost. You leave your base to explore the surrounding area and collect valuable resources.
There should be different difficulty levels as well as a co-op function in which you can fight together against waves of monsters in an endless mode.
When does the game come out? The release was originally planned for the third quarter of 2023. However, the developers wrote on Steam on August 7, 2023 that the release will be delayed due to “unresolved issues in optimizing game performance.”
Some storylines were still in development at this point. The developers apologize there and are aiming for an expected release for February 2024.
Another shooter is in the starting blocks for Steam in 2024. There you don’t shoot at hordes of enemies with huge guns, but rather kick the monsters in the face – and in colorful cartoon graphics.
You explore the brightly colored house ruins of Shit City and use not only firearms, but also the strength of your extremely powerful feet to face the challenges to the best of your knowledge and belief:
Steam: A new shooter lets you kick monsters in the face – Looks like you’re in an extremely good mood
