A new claim regarding the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan has created controversy in the international arena. Azerbaijani media claimed that the plane’s route was deliberately directed to the Caspian Sea and that it was intended to be shot down there. Allegedly, Russia wanted to weaken the control of the plane and cause it to crash into the sea with electronic warfare systems and air defense fire.
THE PURPOSE WAS TO HAVE THE WRECKAGE LOST IN THE SEA…
The aim was to destroy the evidence by losing the wreckage at sea. According to Flightradar data, the plane lost altitude and speed erratically for 75 minutes. As a result of the interventions made in the GPS system, the plane sent incorrect location information.
In the wreckage images, holes were found in the vertical stabilizer, and it is estimated that this damage was caused by an explosion or shrapnel.
Russian authorities, on the other hand, argue that the accident was caused by a technical malfunction and are considering the possibility that the plane ran out of fuel. However, experts state that the plane that crashed into the ground exploded and the fuel was not completely exhausted.
BLACK BOX IS EXPECTED
It is expected that the technical and external intervention details that caused the plane to crash will become clear with the examination of the black box. Azerbaijani officials stated that they found new evidence to prove Russia’s responsibility.
The plane, which was intended to be lost in the Caspian Sea, was directed to Aktau, which enabled the accident to occur on land. This development reveals a possible manipulation.
