A week has passed since the giant fire in the historic Børsen building in central Copenhagen – and once again it has started to glow in the remains of the fire.

During yesterday, the rescue service, Hovedstadens Beredskab, withdrew because the extinguishing work was deemed to have been completed, but the site would continue to be checked by a fire watch every four hours.

During the evening and night, flaring embers were discovered in the remains of the fire.

– We have several small areas with embers that flared up, says operations manager Kristian Levy to Ritzau.

He emphasizes that it was not about large flames.

Børsen, which underwent renovation before the fire, is one of the city’s oldest houses and is dated to 1625. The building is located in the Slotsholmen area in central Copenhagen.
