What game is this about? Dungeons & Kingdoms is a new game on Steam from the indie development studio Uncle Grouch Gaming. There is no exact release date yet, but in a recent announcement the developers said they hope to present a demo in October.
The game aims to offer you an interesting mix of a building game, where you manage your own kingdom, and a dungeon crawler. Dungeons & Kingdoms is also a mix in terms of graphics, as the grass and fire look quite realistic, while the characters and buildings are in a kind of polygon graphic.

What awaits you? The game lives up to its name. Because it offers you exactly what it promises: a kingdom and lots of dungeons. By the way, you can already play the prologue for free on Steam.
As is typical for a construction game, you start with a small group of refugees on an uninhabited land and make it your task to build them a new, beautiful home. You have to cut down trees, grow plants, collect resources and hunt animals to ensure survival. Then you can build buildings and have over 500 parts and items at your disposal.
Two interesting features are terraforming and blueprints. Firstly, you have the opportunity to redesign the landscape of your kingdom, for example by flattening hills to create new fields or digging a moat around your castle.
They also seem to be quite necessary, because Dungeons & Kingdoms has a day and night cycle that can also send various attackers after you. Among other things, robbers and wild animals will attack you and it is your job to protect your residents from them.
You can then save all your buildings as blueprints and not only build them again and again, but even upload them to the Steam Workshop and share them with other players.
Fight through dungeons for loot and progress
As the trailer shows, there are also various dungeons waiting for you to explore and conquer. In here you will find enemies that you have to defeat in combat from a third-person perspective. In the trailer, for example, you can see a giant snake, a nasty demon and even a dragon that you have to fight.
From the dungeons you will receive various loot and treasures to fill your coffers. Through the dungeons you will also unlock new resources and technologies that will help you make your kingdom even better and bigger.

This way you can find your own play style for your adventures.
