New Blade Runner game is coming

Annapurna Interactive, which is famous for games such as Neon Whire, Outher Wilds and Stray, organized its digital showcase after this afternoon and then made its biggest announcement at the final of the program. It will take place in the Blade Runner universe, which is the first game Annapurna has developed in-house. And it will be called Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth. Considering its successful history in the science fiction genre, we can say that Annapurna has delivered exciting news for both players and Blade Runner fans.

Stray’s publisher is making a new Blade Runner game!

The game’s 2033 date places it between the original Blade Runner Movie and its 2017 sequel, Blade Runner 2049. We don’t have much information about the game yet. However, the game will take place in the dystopian streets of Los Angeles and investigate the consequences of the catastrophic power outage described in the anime Blade Runner 2022 Black Out.

Subtle clues in the trailer and key art suggest that the game will feature artificial humans known as Replicants and detectives tasked with hunting them, among other fixtures in the series, such as the Tyrell Corporation.

Blade Runner 2033 is not only the first game to be developed internally by Annapurna Interactive, but also the first new Blade Runner game to be released in over 25 years. The previous Blade Runner game, developed by Westwood Studios in 1997, was re-released in June 2022 with an enhanced version. Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth, which is under development, has not yet been announced on which platforms and when it will be released.
