And now another ban will start to apply – from 15 March.
Namely, the Marine and Water Authority (HaV) has decided that, for the time being, it should be prohibited from fishing so-called seven areas in Swedish sea areas. The ban also includes unintentional by -catch, which are “immediately rejected”, according to the authority.
The County Administrative Board has already requested that the fishing of Sjurygg, from which you extract Stenbitsrome, be stopped in the Sound, according to SVTbut the sea thus goes further than that in its decision.
The reason for the decision is a multi -year negative stock development of the fish.
