At least one drone was observed by security guards at Arlanda Airport on Monday evening, the Civil Aviation Authority told TT.

– I can confirm that there were drones at Arlanda this evening, where we at LFV received observations, says Christopher Montecino, civil servant on standby at the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority (LFV).

The alarm about drones, which Aftonbladet was the first to report on, came at 10:20 p.m.

– Some starts were stopped for a short time. Traffic has just been resumed, but minor delays remain, says Montecino at around 11 p.m.

On the night of Monday, all air traffic at Arlanda was stopped after several drones were observed from the control tower. The police suspect that it is a deliberate act and a preliminary investigation is underway.
