New AEA headquarters and 10 million from Ryanair to train

(Finance) – The aeronautical training academy AEA – Aircraft Engineering Academy, the first training center for aeronautical maintenance technicians, changes headquarters and moves to the municipality of Azzano San Paolo, adjacent to Bergamo airport.

The new location allows for merge the academic center with the maintenance hub aviation operated by SEASpresent at Bergamo airport with 5 hangars, which represents the most important maintenance base in southern Europe to support the airline Ryanair.

The new AEA structure has 4 executive aircraft for practical exercises and 4 educational laboratoriesensuring the contemporary presence of 100 candidates.

1 million euros the value of the investment programmed to support the project of the new AEA headquarters, which wanted to represent, the response to European demand for technicians highly qualified in the civil aviation sector. It adds to this the investment of 10 million of euros in AEA announced by Ryanair for the training of 1,000 technicians maintainers.

The inauguration of the new AEA headquarters was attended by, among others, the general director of Enac, Alessio Quarantaand the president of SACBO, Giovanni Sanga.

“In the aeronautical sector, training courses are fundamental and indispensable – said Quaranta – In this sense, AEA responds 100% to the needs of the aeronautical sector, considering that 50% more flights are expected by 2040, with a consequent need for personnel highly specialized technician”. For Giovanni Sanga, a specialized hub in aeronautical maintenance is created which refers to the Bergamo airport, which generates further value and employment.
