New activity in Division 2 will leave you burning and so far you can’t do it solo

After a long delay, The Division 2 finally continues with Year 5. Season 2 is starting and brings the “Puppet Player” update. In addition to the well-known Manhunt, an old but also popular activity is back: the Incursion. It puts the players’ skills and cooperation to the test and is currently not possible to complete solo.

What’s happening in Ubisoft’s cover shooter? Season 2 of Year 5 has started in Division 2.

  • As announced, since the beginning of October 2023 in Season 2, players will have to focus on further searching for missing people in order to learn more about Natalya Sokolova’s plans against the Division.
  • As part of this rescue mission, “The Recruiter” awaits at the end, the main target in season 2, because the division wants to know who and why he is recruiting.
  • Additionally, agents will see new improvements to areas of the castle as they rescue each hostage as part of the settlement’s ongoing reconstruction.
  • The developer has adapted the old Manhunts over the course of the seasons so that they now mostly run on bounties, but that hasn’t made them any more spectacular. The missions are also part of the story and can therefore be completed without much effort by any agent.

In the second season, the Incursions from Division 1 also celebrated their comeback and the first of these missions is currently the absolute highlight for some players.

You can see what goes on in an incursion in this video:

What exactly is an assault? An Incursion is a game mode in The Division 2 in which you have to overcome various encounters in a mission.

This type of attack already happened in the first part of The Division. But in 2023, the missions have been refreshed and slightly changed. There are also new mechanics there.

  • The first Incursion in Year 5 Season 2 is called “Paradise Lost”.
  • Players travel to the decadent Meret estate, which has been invaded by pimped-out Cleaners who cover everything with foul Greek fire.
  • You have to play through a total of 4 sections and complete various mechanics.
  • How tough is it? Damn hard. Basically, you can absolutely describe the mode as a mini-raid or a high-risk endgame mission for good teams of three or four that demands everything not only from you, but also from your builds. The mechanics also sometimes don’t allow you to do it solo at the moment.

Many a solo player, like Marcusdiddle, has had to say with disappointment: “I tried five times and the longest I survived was 30 seconds.”

We can also confirm that it really is a tough challenge that is tough enough to be worth your time. And don’t worry: If you don’t have a team, you can activate the matchmaking for the attack and try your luck with random players.

All further information about Season 2 in Year 5 can be found on the Ubisoft website.

    Incursion drops a unique weapon

Players can also earn this MG in Season 2 of Year 5 via the Season Pass.

What awaits you as a reward in the Incursion? Every week when you complete the new Incursion “Lost Paradise,” you will receive an exotic item as a reward. This also includes a 10 percent drop chance for the unique exotic SMG “Ouroboros”, which can currently only be obtained from Incursion.

If you then repeat the attack, you will only get a 1% drop chance for the “Ouroboros” for each boss. Still, it’s worth getting your hands on this weapon.

  • The SMG is based on a .45 Vector but with a 50 magazine.
  • It has a fire rate of 1650 rpm, which can be increased by 15% even with the striker set. And with the same basic damage as the original Vector.
  • If you are affected by a status effect, the weapon’s talent will apply the same status effect to your targets at 50% of the ammunition in the next magazine.
  • On paper, the “Ouroboros” currently has the highest burst DPS of any weapon currently available in Division 2, and is also nothing to sneeze at due to its reload speed bonus.

The introduction of Puppeteer Season 2 brings a breath of fresh air and a higher level of difficulty to the world of Washington, DC, at least with the Incursion.

Those who want to take on this challenge can also look forward to an intense gaming experience that will test their skills and reward them with exclusive loot. Players already want more of it and even find it better than the descent mode with its crash lottery.

Have you already played “Paradise Lost”? Then let other players know in the comments what experiences you had and how you find this challenge in The Division 2. Of course, your personal tips for successfully completing the new Incursion are also welcome.

By the way, Ubisoft still has a lot planned for The Division franchise and has already dropped the famous “3”: Ubisoft has announced “The Division 3”, finally what everyone wanted to hear
