New accusations against Donald Trump after TV interview

Donald Trump has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting author and journalist E. Jean Carroll in an exam room in the 1990s. A jury found that in the middle of May. The former president was also convicted of defamation because he claimed for years that Carroll lied in order to sell books.

According to Carroll’s lawyers, the jury’s verdict has not stopped Trump from continuing to defame Carrol. Just the day after the jury’s decision, he calls her a “fool” in an interview with CNN.

– I have no idea who this woman is – it’s a fake, made-up story, he said during the interview.

Trump was sentenced to pay approximately SEK 53 million in damages to Carroll. Now, her lawyers have asked a judge to update an ongoing lawsuit from 2019 seeking additional damages. That case concerns statements made by Donald Trump as president.

Donald Trump has appealed the damages verdict and denies all the allegations against him, reports NBC.
