The New Station Would Have Space For As Many AS18 Vehicles, Including Ambulances for Three or Four Shifts of Paramedics, Spare Ambulances, Supervisor VEHICLES, AN EMERGENCY Support Unit and Community Support Program Vehicles. It also would have storage for medical Equipment and supplies.
Plans Call for Using $ 1 Million in Reserves and Borrowing the Rest To Cover Costs, With the Expectation that Half can be Recovered Over 40 Years Through Provincial Funding, The Report Said.
COUCIL ALSO REDED TO BUDGE A Request to Add Another 12 Hours a Day of Ambulance Service in Sarnia, As the Master Plan Recommended, at a cost of $ 600,000 in Year. Another $ 322,000 for a new Ambulance and Equipment WOULD COME FROM RESERVES, The Report Said.
