Namely, Duplantis has reached an incredible 1,617 points in the world ranking of the International Athletics Federation, World Athletics. So many points have never been achieved by an athlete before and the previous record was also held by Mondo with a total of 1,612 points from 2022, when he won the WC gold in Eugene and broke a new world record.

Since WA introduced the ranking system in 2019, only the Swede has managed to get over the 1,600-point mark, no one has even come close. Duplantis completely outclasses his competitors in other sports and is a whopping 88 points ahead of the Norwegian Jakob Ingebrigtsen and 93 points ahead of the American Noah Lyles.
– I don’t think we will ever experience the results he does again, says his manager Daniel Wessfeldt to Aftonbladet.
The Swede’s superiority at the top of the world means a lot for his brand.
– Of course, it is a heavy title to carry. That you are not only the best in your branch, but all categories. It always has its meaning when he is presented or when we have to talk to possible new sponsors, says Wessfeldt to the evening newspaper.
