The actor explained this to Deadline:
I do not mind. [Und] I don’t know an actor who doesn’t need a job. I don’t think I’ve ever been in my life at the same time so famous and so unpaid, so bring it on. We all have to start somewhere.
Fraser’s career was on a low flight as of the 2010s due to personal tragedy and a possible sexual assault (via NME). New popularity may have given his name and talent a new lease of life, but apparently it does not allow for a bigger bank account.
When will The Mummy 4 with Brendan Fraser be in cinemas?
Whether the The Mummy franchise will even be revived is uncertain after 2017’s crashing Tom Cruise flop. There are no official statements. Should the first work on the film begin tomorrow, he could end of 2024 come to the cinema.
