(Telestock) – Neva Sgrthe venture capital firm of Intesa Sanpaolo Group, has entered the capital of Bio4DreamsItalian incubator of
innovative startups in the very early stage operating in the sector of Life Sciences.
The investment has taken place through The Fund Six – Development of innovation ecosystemsfully subscribed by Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Centerthe Group’s company dedicated to frontier innovation managed by Neva Sgrb. The alternative Fund established has the objective of supporting the growth of the Italian innovation ecosystem through targeted investments in vehicles that implement research, selection, acceleration and professionalization programs of promising startups.
With the entry of the Fund, Bio4Dreams consolidates its positioning in the Italian innovation ecosystem and aims to strengthen its internal structure, with the aim of accelerating the development of its activities at an international level. Further confirmation of the results achieved from Bio4Dreams in six years of intense work in Italy and abroad, a path that has
led the company to become a European point of reference for innovation in the country, actively contributing to the evolution of territorial ecosystems in the Life Sciences field.
From 2018 to today, the Bio4Dreams incubator has evaluated approximately 1600 projects entrepreneurial initiatives from ecosystems managed in Italy (Milan, Turin, Genoa, Como, Bolzano, Trento, Trieste, Venice, Siena and Naples) and abroad (Pécs in Hungary, Krakow in Poland and Cambridge, Massachusetts in the USA), starting customized incubation paths for 47 innovative startups and SMEs and creating a portfolio of 15 participated companies with a total value of over 71 million euros. The companies supported by the incubator are positioned in the main sectors of Life Sciences, from pharmaceuticals to medical devices, from diagnostics to E-Health up to
to Agri-foodtech and circular bioeconomy.
The investment of the Sei Fund foresees the entry of a new member of the Board of Directors of Bio4Dreams appointed by Neva Sgr.
