At Moviepilot, the series adventure is currently holding one phenomenal rating of 8.4 Scores only Stranger Things can match, making it Netflix’s top-rated sci-fi series. That was already indicated when Arcane topped the top-rated Netflix series of 2021.

Season 1 Arcane takes us to the two boroughs of rich, utopian Piltover and poor, downtrodden Zaun. Here they fight Sisters Vi and Jinx on opposite sides of a seething conflict that threatens to unleash a dangerous fantasy technology.

The scarred one plays an important role in this sci-fi fantasy clash Gang boss Silco, who wants to control the substance called Shimmer. As a drug, it gives strength, among other things, but also causes mutations. Silco takes the orphan Jinx under his criminal wing and loves her like a daughter. Despite this, he ends up being shot by her as he fires at Vi.
Silco’s painful death became the catalyst for Jinx in Arcane to accept her new identity as well as her estrangement from her sister. Still, Silcos betrayed Original voice actor Jason Spisak now that he’s back in Season 2:

When does Arcane season 2 start on Netflix?
Shortly after the end of the first 9 episodes, Arcane announced the 2nd season and promised that it would not (like season 1) take 6 years until it would be completed. According to the series creators, we still have to rule out this year’s 2023 for the Arcane return. There is no official date for the sequel yet. But one thing is certain: Season 2 won’t come to Netflix until 2024 at the earliest.
