Netflixs new sci fi series takes the worlds breath away in

At least since Squid Game, series from South Korea have enjoyed increased attention on Netflix. Also the new sci-fi series Black Knight is coming May 12, 2023 with an exciting situation around the corner: In its post-apocalyptic time, the earth is running out of air and only a few drivers can ensure the survival of the remaining people.

Netflix’s Mad Max? In the first trailer for sci-fi action series Black Knight, air is a scarce resource

Netflix’ Black Knight is set in the year 2071, in which global air pollution has led to people can only live with a breathing mask. Much of the Korean Peninsula is now a dusty wasteland. Only one percent of the previous population survived. In this dystopian world take motorized oxygen suppliers an important role in survival. Especially the driver “5-8” is a legend with his fighting skills. The refugee Sawol emulates him, even if the air transporters are repeatedly attacked.

The sci-fi idea for Netflix’s Black Knight comes from comic book writer Lee Yoon-gyun’s webtoon Delivery Knight. The lead role is played by Kim Woo-bin (Alienoid). With its mix of action, car chases and barren desert landscapes, the dystopian series is reminiscent of acclaimed action hits like Mad Max: Fury Road. It will become clear in mid-May whether the story will also become a highlight for Netflix.
