Netflix’s best sci-fi series returns after 3 years – with a bombastic trailer for the finale

Of all the new seasons on Netflix in 2024, one is particularly hotly anticipated: The acclaimed sci-fi series Arcane is returning to Netflix this year with the final 2nd season and has now released its long trailer, which will get you excited for the start in November 2024 prepared.

Season 2 starts: Netflix hit Arcane pulls out all the sci-fi stops in the trailer for the finale

Steampunk, sci-fi, fantasy: Arcane has everything the genre heart desires and an innovative animation style that will make your eyes pop. Based on the video game League of Legends, the series also thrilled non-gamers. On Moviepilot, the fast-paced story received an over-the-top rating of 8.4 and secured first place in the best-rated series of 2021. Season 1 told the story of the two Sisters Vi and Jinxwho find themselves on opposite sides of the law in the futuristic twin cities of Zaun and Piltover. Their disputes will now come to a conclusion in Season 2.

The first short announcement revealed a glimpse of the werewolf-like Monster Warwickwhich was created in the video game through experiments and whose identity is already being speculated about in connection with the sisters’ (believed to be) dead foster father, Vander. The first teaser already promised a devastating explosive duelwhich the trailer now picks up with Jinx wanting to see the “world burn” and Vi declaring her sister dead. Yes, we felt it: The Arcane has awakened to deliver a grand finale.

Although Arcane ends with season 2, this will not be the end of the League of Legends world on Netflix. According to co-creator Christian Linke at Tudum, the partnership with the animation studio Fortiche will continue for more stories in Runeterra be continued.
