Still on Netflix for a short time: Forrest Gump will make you laugh and cry for 142 minutes

Forrest Gump is about Forrest (Tom Hanks / Michael Conner Humphreys), who grows up in the southern United States. Forrest observes the injustice of segregation and is drafted into military service in Vietnam. He meets John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson and John Lennon, but longs for Jenny, who at the same time is having her own tragic experiences.

The film from director Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future) is a heartfelt comedy, a sad drama and a satirical commentary on the wild historical path of the USA. But the focus is always on Forrest’s good heart, which makes you laugh or move you to tears almost without a break.

Since its release, Forrest Gump has been hailed as a masterpiece. It won six Oscars in 1995, including Best Actor for Hanks. 65,101 users rated the film and gave it an average score of a very good 8.1 points.

Today it enjoys the reputation of being one of the best films of the 90s. Anyone who knows him will know. Anyone who doesn’t know him should stream the film on Netflix until February 14th.
