Blood and Gold – Trailer (German) HD
Netflix action follows in Quentin Tarantino’s footsteps with Nazi westerns
Blood and Gold is set in the spring of 1945. The deserter Heinrich (Robert Maaser) is hanged up by the SS, but rescued at the last moment by the farmer’s wife Elsa (Marie Hacke). Heinrich actually just wants to go home to his wife and daughter, but he stumbles across sinister SS henchmen again. They put an entire village through the wringer in search of a Jewish pot of gold, but made the bill without the two Nazi opponents.
The bloody campaign against the fascists is reminiscent of Til Schweiger’s scenes from Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds in story and staging. Directed by Peter Thorwarth, whose film Blood Red Sky has already been acclaimed in genre circles.
