The Scandinavian series Borgen – Dangerous Rope Teams offered realistic politics in its most exciting form in 3 seasons from 2010 to 2013. In 2022, a fourth season entitled Borgen – Power and Glory was released on Netflix.
The streaming exclusivity is now temporarily suspended because the Borgen sequel is playing this and next week for the first time on German free TV on Arte.
What is the Borgen sequel about?
The first three seasons of Borgen revolved around Birgitte Nyborg (Sidse Babett Knudsen), who unexpectedly becomes Denmark’s first female prime minister was chosen. In the new episodes, she and her political team have to take care of an oil discovery in Greenland, which drags the foreign minister into a battle between superpowers for control of the Arctic involved. So climate change is also a big topic in Borgen – power and fame.
When is Borgen – Power and Fame on free TV?
Arte is broadcasting the first four of eight episodes of the Borgen sequel September 7, 2023 from 9:40 p.m in one piece. The rest of the season will follow a week later on September 14, 2023. All three seasons of Borgen – Dangerous Ropes and the sequel Borgen – Power and Glory are streaming on Netflix with a subscription.
