should end with season 4. The shooting of the big sci-fi finale was in full swing, but now had to be interrupted for an absolutely ironic reason. Because of exceptional heat 14 members of the cast and crew ended up in the hospital. And that in a series that takes place in a freezing apocalypse.
Netflix’s sci-fi series Snowpiercer has to stop shooting at 35 degrees
This is according to a report by Deadline. Accordingly, there were temperatures of around 35 degrees at the British Columbia location in Canada. According to a source, 14 crew members and supporting cast members had to be taken to the hospital. The icy setting apparently contributed to this. Because for many of the scenes the actors had to wear heavy winter jackets.
It is not yet clear how long the shooting will have to be interrupted. The July 29, 2022 report mentions a one-day break. However, it is quite possible that it will not be possible to continue filming before the end of the heat wave. For Snowpiercer it would be not the first problem in production history. The Netflix series has changed showrunners for the third time.
