Already three months ago there was a first teaser trailer for the 2nd season Shadow and Bone, which brought back the criminal gang of crows as well as Alina (Jessie Mei Li) and Mal (Archie Renaux). And the first insights into the 4 key cast additions in Season 2 granted.
What is Netflix’s Shadow and Bone Season 2 about?
Already Season 1 of Shadow and Bone hid clues to Season 2 in its 8 episodes. After Alina (magically empowered, with deer antlers on her collarbone) fleeing through the shadowy corridor from the powerful General Kirigan (Ben Barnes) in the finale, we had to learn at the very end that the villain survived and now went into the field with creepy shadow beings (the Nichevo’ya).

In Season 2 (according to the 2nd novel template Icy Waves *), Alina will try to use her power through the Search for more power multipliers (i.e. magic enhancers) and thus counteract her ex-mentor and enemy Kirigan.
The gang of crows around leader Kaz (Freddy Carter), Assassin Inej (Amita Suman) and gunslinger Jesper (Kit Young), on the other hand, should finally face up to it big raid from her first book, The Song of the Crows * dedicate after Season 1 of Shadow and Bone told her backstory. And this heist leads them to an ice fortress in the northern magic-hating neighboring country of Fjerda, where witch hunter Matthias (Calahan Skogman) is at home.
