Netflix really pulls through extremely controversial change it will

At the end of June, we reported that as a new change in Canada, Netflix was removing the cheapest subscription price without ads for people who don’t share their account. What first looked like a test is now increasingly becoming a reality. Germany could also be affected soon.

Cheapest Netflix subscription without advertising for singles will be abolished further

As reported by The Wrap, the cheapest basic version of the Netflix subscription has now also been abolished in the USA and Great Britain. It’s no longer possible to select the HD plan for a $9.99/£6.99 ad-free device.

In Germany, this option stands for 7.99 euros per month currently still available. But since Netflix has already gotten serious in the USA, Great Britain and Canada, this comprehensive change should also come to us.

What is the price of Netflix in Germany?

Netflix prices in Germany are currently as follows:

  • €7.99 (Base), 1 device, HD
  • €12.99 (Default), 2 devices, Full HD
  • €17.99 (Premium), 4 devices, Ultra HD
  • If Netflix also implements the new change here, sole subscribers would only have the option Netflix for 5 euros with ads or for 13 euros without ads to watch. Podcast: Is Netflix worth it or a waste of money?
