The romance Purple Hearts is a small, low-budget film compared to the roughly $200 million Ryan Gosling blockbuster. Now the factory has one anyway remarkable new record set up.

Purple Hearts is celebrating the most successful Netflix week of the year so far

As Comic Book reports, no other Netflix movie in 2022 has been streamed more in a week than Purple Hearts so far. With over 102 million watched hours the film even beats top-class blockbusters like the already mentioned The Gray Man or The Adam Project with Ryan Reynolds.

Also Hustle with Adam Sandler, who always delivers reliable hits for Netflix, has to admit defeat against the smaller love story. The Gray Man, which Netflix positioned as the blockbuster highlight of the year, is precisely just 8 days after the start of streaming, it was already knocked out of the top spot in the charts been.

Purple Hearts, on the other hand, had practically no promotion and thus now turns out to be little streaming sensation at Netflix.
