Netflix is not squeamish when it comes to canceling series. Many are scrapped after the first season, others are canceled for ominous reasons despite great success. The Daredevil case, for example, still hurts many fans. Recently, a number of animated series had to believe it, and now it is too caught up in the promising black comedy action Bad Crimes Has. And that was before episode 1 was even released.
Netflix cancels action series before episode 1 – and it sounded so promising
The Bad Crimes animated series was supposed to be about “two female FBI agents who solve horrifying murders while sharing their friendship, careers and… balance as many men as possible“, as Deadline quotes. The whole thing was to be produced by comedy legends Mike Judge and Greg Daniels (King of the Hill).
Creator Nicole Silverberg recently explained that Netflix “she encourages them to live out their fantasies on the show” and working together is a dream (via Deadline). Now the streamer has apparently caused a sudden awakening. And that without the slightest announcement to the impatiently waiting fans.
In addition to fan favorites that have been discontinued after a few seasons in recent years, such as Altered Carbon – The Immortality Program has Netflix recently applied the scissors to animated series. Bad Crimes is the latest example in a series of projects such as the comic book adaptation Bone or the monster fantasy Wings of Fire.
