This adaptation of a timeless novel has indeed accumulated an 89% rating on Rotten Tomatoes from viewers and 4/5 on Allociné, making it one of the most popular of its kind. It is also ranked fourth in the magazine’s ranking of the most romantic films of all time Harpers Bazaar. Pride and Prejudice is a 2005 costume drama and social satire of 18th-century English society. Although some Jane Austen purists prefer the BBC serial version released in 1995, this film adaptation ofPride and Prejudice has nevertheless entered the pantheon of romantic films of recent years and remains one of the best to watch.
