Netflix wants to increase costs after the end of the great Hollywood strike
As the Wall Street Journal reports, the streaming service plans to raise prices as soon as the current Hollywood actors’ strike (SAG-AFTRA) is officially ended. After the successful agreement with the scriptwriters, negotiations with the actors should also continue shortly.
Netflix has not announced how high the planned price increase will be. The USA and Canada will be affected first. However, the price increase will occur in several global markets. Germany could also be affected.
The cheapest Netflix subscription with advertising costs currently still 4.99 euros a month. If you want to stream ad-free and in the best 4K quality, you have to pay 17.99 euros per month.
