Netflix is ​​filming absolute thriller hype and now there’s the first trailer for the series, which fortunately can’t be discontinued

The second German Netflix series of the year will start next month. After the crime series Sleeping Dogs, the original Liebes Kind awaits us. The title might look familiar to you. Because the psychological thriller series is an adaptation of Romy Hausmann’s debut novel of the same name and bestseller from 2019.

For one first insight into the harrowing kidnapping story Netflix has now released the first teaser trailer.

Dear child is a rare Netflix series without the risk of cancellation

The history of Dear Child picks up where other kidnapping thrillers leave off. A woman named Lena (Kim Riedle) escapes from the clutches of a psychopath after a long period of imprisonment. He locked her and two children in a windowless house, where they had to play happy family and follow strict rules.

When Lena’s parents, who have been looking for their daughter for 13 years, meet the escaped victim, it quickly becomes clear that the nightmare is far from over. As the police race against time to find the horror house, a traumatized “Lena” must discover who she really is.

For many series fans, the hurdle is now high to even start a new show. Netflix continues to drop series after series. In the case of Dear Child, you don’t need to worry, because this is a mini-series with a completed storyline. There is no risk of being dropped.

When does Dear Child start on Netflix?

The mini-series Dear Child is ready Coming to Netflix September 7, 2023 ready to stream. For a thriller binge, you can schedule six episodes, each around 45 minutes long.

The series was developed by headwriter Isabel Kleefeld and Julian Pörksen, who were also responsible for the staging. In addition to Kim Riede, the cast also includes Justus von Dohnányi (Der Nachname), Julika Jenkins (Dark), Hans Löw (I am your human) and Haley Louise Jones (Einstein). The two children are played by Sammy Schrein and Naila Schuberth.
