The filming was supposedly in Romania “logistical challenges” tied together. Further details are not known. However, house actress Jenna Ortega hinted before the start of season 1 how stressful the production was – one of many criticisms.
In Romania we started training and filming straight away. We didn’t have time for rehearsals. It was very stressful and confusing. I did my best, but it was the most overwhelming job I’ve ever had.
The production problems were never directly linked to the Romanian location. Last but not least, the relocation of the set to Ireland makes it clear that the crew and Jenna Ortega were dissatisfied with the conditions there.
When is Wednesday season 2 coming?
The production of Wednesday Season 2 is a top priority at Netflix after the end of the strike. However, the shoot will still take some time. There were almost eight months between the completion of filming and the release of season 1. Accordingly, there is one Release in fall 2024 probably.
