Netflix has already increased prices and Germany is finally losing

At the beginning of October we reported that Netflix wanted to increase prices again. The time given was the end of the current actors’ strike. Now the streaming service has ignored this point in time and the Costs have already increased in the USA, among others. There will also be something new for German subscribers next week.

Netflix has increased subscription prices in America, France and Great Britain

As reported by Collider, among others, the streaming service announced in the current financial report for the third quarter Subscription price increase that comes into effect immediately for the USA, Great Britain and France.

In the United States, the price of the basic subscription without ads will increase from $9.99 to $11.99, while the premium subscription will increase from $19.99 to $22.99. In France the prices are 13.49 euros and 19.99 euros. If the price increase is also introduced in Germany, these amounts could be the same as in France.

Our Netflix costs are currently as follows:

  • €4.99 (Standard, with advertising), 2 devices, SD
  • €7.99 (Basic), 1 device, HD
  • €12.99 (Standard), 2 devices, Full HD
  • €17.99 (Premium), 4 devices, Ultra HD
  • In Germany, Netflix will soon be abolishing a subscription model for good

In July 2023, the basic Netflix subscription was canceled in many countries. In Germany, the variant was slightly hidden and still available today. According to Screen Daily, that will soon change.

Next week the basic subscription will finally be abolished in this country. This means that it is no longer possible to select the HD tariff for a device without advertising for 7.99 euros. Anyone who is currently using the subscription can continue to use it until a new change occurs.
