Martin Scorsese fake epic Goncharov comes to life on Tumblr
According to Polygon, it all started with an older Tumblr post from August 2022, in which a user presented boots that had been worn and had a special label. It reads about the greatest mafia movie ever made. The work is entitled Goncharov and is presented by Martin Scorsese. The only plot given is that it is about the Neapolitan mafia.
According to Tumblr user thefiresontheheight, Goncharov is a long-running Scorsese film from 1973, which was never published and passed over at award shows. There is even a poster of Goncharov to admire:

The impressive cast of the fictional Scorsese project already includes Robert De Niro as the protagonist, Al Pacino as banker Andrey and Cybill Shepherd as Goncharov’s great love Katya. Other roles include Harvey Keitel and Gene Hackman. Part of the plot is also a Killer named Ice Pick Joewho kills people with an ice pick.

In the meantime, Goncharov has long since developed into a detailed running gag that is becoming more and more epic. Martin Scorsese himself has not yet commented on this, however a certain streaming giant shouldn’t ignore the hype any longer.
We are of the opinion, Netflix needs to raise the necessary cash immediatelycall the master director and do everything possible so that Goncharov soon becomes a reality.
