The streamers are in fantasy madness. After Amazon has already spent huge sums of money on The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Paramount+ now wants to field a challenger. A Netflix specialist is now to help create a series based on the Dungeons & Dragons game franchise, that will grace the screen in 2023 with Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.
Netflix expert is working on fantasy series in the Dungeons & Dragons universe
Dungeons & Dragons is a Pen & Paper role-playing game that has existed since the early 1970s and has meanwhile been expanded into a gigantic franchise through countless novels and video games.
The series is to be implemented by Rawson Marshall Thurber, who, among other things, was responsible for the Netflix hit Red Notice as a director. That reports Deadline. More detailed information about the history, extent or start date of the fantasy project is still unknown.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves aims against it come to the cinema on March 30, 2023. In the story about a kind of fantasy robbery, Chris Pine and Hugh Grant (!) stand in front of the camera, among others.
