Netflix’s official statement on the subject of the series is as follows:
“Strength is everything. Jin-Kazama learned the art of self-defense, the Traditional Kazama Technique from his mother at an early age. However, despite all his training, when a terrible evil emerged and took everything he loved from him, he was powerless and his life changed. Jin-Kazama blamed himself for not being able to prevent what happened. He takes the oath and tries all means to gain absolute power. His efforts lead him to participate in the international fighting tournament The King of Iron Fist Tournament.”
In the trailer, familiar Tekken characters Heihachi Mishima, Kazuya Mishima, Leroy Smith, King, Jun Kazama, Paul Phoenix, and Ogre can be seen. This series adaptation of the Tekken series, the last game of which was released in 2015 with Tekken 7, is expected to be released this year.
