Netflix’s official statement on the subject of the series is as follows:

In the trailer, familiar Tekken characters Heihachi Mishima, Kazuya Mishima, Leroy Smith, King, Jun Kazama, Paul Phoenix, and Ogre can be seen. This series adaptation of the Tekken series, the last game of which was released in 2015 with Tekken 7, is expected to be released this year.
